On 6 April 2018, Andrii Chubyk, Senior Researcher from CGSS21 for the ENABLE.EU project, presented the “Heating & Cooling” case study results regarding the monetization of subsidies in Ukraine on Radio Hayat. Specifically, he highlighted problems for multi-apartment houses when discussing and approving the energy modernization of dwellings due to resistance from inhabitants, who receive subsidies and are afraid that they will be ineligible for them if renovations are done, as well as a lack of interest in investing their own money in modernisation.
Among the case study findings discussed were possible solutions and amendments to state policies in order to promote energy efficiency measures.
